At around 8:40pm on Wednesday the residents of Bakare Jafojo
Street of Iyana-Ipaja troop out to chase away a mad woman who was mistaken for
a kidnapper.
A resident of the street who identified herself as Mrs. Nasiru
revealed to us that she notice the woman at about 4pm roaming around the street
but she knew she was a mad woman.
One Chike another resident said “I and my friends saw her begging
for biscuit from a little boy who should be about five or six years old not
knowing that some other youth are also observing as the woman approach the
little boy and the guys shouted that the woman is kidnapper”.
Our correspondent was able to speak with the little boy’s elder
brother who revealed to us that the little Raphael cried to be hungry was given
twenty naira by neighbor to buy biscuit before their mother comes back from
work.
Wale Adetula, Raphael‘s elder brother said their mother work as a
nurse in a clinic at Aboru and was and was on afternoon.
Wale further said their father is a factory worker bus is not
currently in Lagos that he has travelled to Ibadan for a burial ceremony.
It would
have been a jungle justice not until the landlord came to solve the matter in
company with some other youth who claimed she is really a mad woman
