A 51-year-old man, Adewale Akinshola, has urged a customary court sitting at Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos to dissolve his marriage to his wife, Cynthia Akinshola, over alleged infidelity. Akinshola, a civil servant, said he started suspecting his wife in 2011. According to him, she first had an affair with their landlord. He said: “I had no evidence she was seeing the landlord; I just noticed her ways weren’t straightforward.
Also, there was a day my wife left the house around 5.30a.m. She said she wanted to get to work early. I was so curious that I trailed her.” Akinshola said he sneaked into the bus his wife boarded with another man, but his wife and the man never noticed. He added:
“My wife sat in the front, while the man drove. I wondered what their plan was. When they got to their destination, I came down from the bus and I received the shock of my life. My wife and her lover went into a restaurant.”
